Things you should know about working as a Logistics Operations Manager III:

 

The Logistics Operations Manager III is responsible for leading, developing and executing warehouse functions in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment.  These functions include, but are limited to, safety and security, inbound and outbound management, labor staffing, management and talent development, facility and equipment maintenance, and inventory management.  The Logistics Operations Manager III is also responsible for the management of the entire facility and its assets, which may include complex automated picking systems.  The Logistics Operations Manager III is also responsible regulatory compliance such ad OSHA/FDA and others.

 

What would success look like?

 

1. Organizational Effectiveness:

        • Ensure a safe work environment is in place

        • Create training and leadership development plans for manager level employees

        • Hire, train, develop and benchmark the talent of new and existing employees to ensure a motivated, skilled and efficient workforce

        • Ensure compliance of governmental regulations such as Sarbanes Oxley, FDA and OSHA

        • Maintain the value of company assets through the proactive administration and prioritization of repairs and upgrades

        • Effectively resolve unforeseen crises.  Evaluate these crises to create a plan that will prevent reoccurrence

 

 2. Financial Management:

        • Direct oversight and execution of all logistics functions including, but not limited to, safety and security, inbound and outbound management, labor staffing, management and talent development, facility and equipment maintenance, and customer service

        • Manage the efficiencies of a multi-million-dollar, high volume automated picking system (where present)

        • Proactively evaluate and act upon the results of key performance indicators such as safety performance, cost per case, inventory shrink percent, and case per man hour

        • Continually conduct in depth evaluation of logistics processes to identify and implement productivity improvements and cost saving opportunities

        • Deliver the financial operating plan

 

3. Customer Service:

        • Support sales through daily observation of inventory levels to ensure product is available when needed

        • Ensure regular coordination with supply chain analysts to reduce the likelihood of out of stocks while also minimizing inventory days on hand

 

4. Facilities Management:

  • Responsible for annual case volume of 18 million cases
  • 3rd largest Automated facility within Coca-Cola Consolidated, Inc
  • Lead, Teach and Coach over 100 employess in FT and PT roles      

        • Maintain the value of company assets through the proactive administration and prioritization of repairs and upgrades

 

 

Qualifications

 

        • Minimum of 8 years management experience

        • Minimum of 5 years warehouse operations experience

        • Valid driver's license from state of residence

 

Schedule-weekends and holidays required based on business needs
