Things you should know about working as a Local Chain Account Manager:

 

The Local Chain Account Manager will focus all time and energy on driving growth in the local Convenience chains within their area of responsibility. The primary objective will be to use skillsets around relationship management, selling, execution, driving for results, analytical and price package management to drive profitable growth in volume and share of space in the Convenience Retail Channels.  This role will be responsible and accountable for having an immediate and sustained positive impact on sales execution, RED scores and space growth in these accounts by use of the Club Coke Process and tool.

 

What would success look like?

 

        • Delivery of Business Plan – (DNGP, Volume): Lead the sales organization to deliver business plan goals.

        • Grow number of customers participating in Club Coke Process significantly with specific targets to be determined prior to roll-out of position. Primary goal of this job is to bring to more customers into the Club Coke family to expand our space and reach into all categories within the small store segment.

        • Improve RED execution in our outlets and achieve the Look of Success in the local Chain and independent small store market. Within the existing customers and new customer base, expand our goals and objectives to gain more favorable scores with RED.

        • Cross-Functional collaboration: Establish a management routine that ensures communication with all related functions; logistics / warehouse, on-premise, tech-ops, and all corporate functions. Regularly collaborate with territory and Local Account Developers and DSM resources to inform of all promotional activity. Provide input and direction regarding merchandising and set configuration to maximize revenue.

        • Own Customer Relationships and Growth. Own the selling relationships with the key customers within the local independent and small chain segment to drive successful execution of the plan: Own the selling relationship with key customers in the market place.  Strengthen relationships through collaboration and sharing of results and best practices within our industry. Clearly communicate local customer plans to our partners. Clearly lay out expectations for how we manage our customer partners face to face and at the appropriate levels.

        • Lead our Purpose Statement every day

        • Follow Small Store Call Segmentation plan to ensure that visit and sell to customers on the prescribed cadence. Push for productivity improvement in all that we do to drive value.

 

Qualifications

 

        • Excellent customer collaboration skills with a strong, growth-oriented mindset

        • It is preferred that this person has some selling experience as well as a working knowledge of DSD processes and operating systems

        • Excellent communication skills are required both verbally and electronically

        • The candidate should have a mindset that enables quick adaptation to issues, and is able to think through things clearly to arrive at the optimal business decision

        • Strong understanding and analytical skills are needed to fully comprehend impact of decisions on the business

        • This candidate should have strong problem-solving skills

        • Strong technological skills as well as computer and Microsoft Office Skills as much of this job is technology based

        • A propensity for building a strong team through excellent sales leadership is a must

        • Beverage industry experience is preferred, but not mandatory

        • Ability to work with complex customers to drive mutual goals is necessary

        • Must have a valid Driver’s License

        • Bachelor's Degree, preferred
