Things you should know about working as an Equipment Services Training Manager:


The Equipment Services (EQS) Training Manager will be responsible for creation and execution of effective Learning and Development programs for service, delivery and remanufacturing personnel. Trainers will be responsible for identifying and managing training needs, prioritization of curriculum, scheduling, and delivery of learning. Trainers will act as departmental SME’s on equipment function, repair, and business processes. They also function as key liaisons and facilitators for OEM’s when providing training. The EQS training manager will provide training throughout out our territory and will be required to travel regularly. The EQS trainer will be responsible for maintaining and securing all tools, equipment and facilities provided to support their training programs.

• Effectively plan, prioritize, manage resources and execute numerous simultaneous projects, tasks and objectives.
• Effectively manage and execute technical training programs for installation, repair/service and remanufacturing of vending, cold drink and fountain service equipment. 
• Provide hands-on training and required certifications to employees to ensure their ability to safely repair, remanufacture and support our various equipment.
• Provide hands-on training in electrical and refrigeration diagnostics and repair.
• Act as facilitator for OEM provided training. 
• Work directly with leadership and key business partners to identify gaps in user abilities, skills, or knowledge and create effective training programs to address concerns. 
• Effectively manage schedules and travel to reduce waste and manage budget and expenses.

• Must demonstrate and maintain a confident, positive, professional demeanor in accordance with the company’s mission and values. 
• Must be able to establish and maintain good working relationships and effectively influence and develop others. 
• Must be able to manage personal schedule and reliable work ethic in an unsupervised environment.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Must be available for frequent overnight and multiple day travel (30 to 50%).
• Must possess physical ability to lift 50 lbs., move training equipment on/off training van and stand during training for extended periods of time.
• High degree of technical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with direct experience in electrical diagnostics and/or refrigeration systems repair.
• Must be able to safely and competently use hand and power tools, oxygen/acetylene torches, and multimeters. 
• Must be comfortable working with electricity and/or refrigeration systems.
• Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to effectively communicate complex ideas to all levels of learners.
• Must have working knowledge with Microsoft Office applications (including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook). Knowledge of MS SharePoint is a plus.
• Must be able to quickly learn new equipment, processes and training materials.
• Must possess exceptional organization and time management skills.
• Must be able to manage costs and appropriate budget responsibilities.
• Must possess or be able to obtain refrigeration repair license within 3 to 6 months of hire (EPA 1, EPA 2).


Preferred Qualifications 

• Knowledge of Adult Learning methods and evaluation 
• Knowledge of e-learning and/or distance learning methods 
• Previous presentation/training experience desired
• Electrical contractors license a plus but not required
