Things you should know about working as a Quality Assurance Supervisor:

 

The Quality Assurance (QA) Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of the quality personnel they are assigned and provide guidance for cross functional teams to support the quality and food safety requirements of the products produced and shipped from their location.

 

This position also, supports and enforces the certification, regulatory, customer and brand requirements as outlined by the business.

 

 

 

What would success look like?

 

  • Upholds and exemplifies the Company’s purpose statement
  • Support and ensure that the manufacturing facility is producing in accordance with all FDA and Corporate requirements
  • Understand and support the documentation, training and organizational requirements for maintaining a globally recognized quality and food safety certification
  • This may include assisting and or executing audits of the system program requirements internally to the facility
  • Support and assist in audits from internal and external regulatory, certification, customer, and or brand owner sources
  • Ensure QA personnel understand job expectations, performance metrics and food safety requirements for the products produced
  • Encourage a team environment and ensure that all personnel are trained
  • Ensure the staff and environment actively encourages a safe work environment and is aware of environmental influences within their job activities
  • Provide support to ensure department stays aligned with company goals

     

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Four-year degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Food Industry Knowledge
  • Six Sigma
  • Leadership experience
