Building Services Technician

Things you should know about working as a Building Services Technician:


Performs variety of custodial tasks & repairs related to corporate facilities maintenance including: preventive systems and equipment maintenance, lighting maintenance, breakroom equipment/fixtures, door hardware, plumbing/electrical, cleaning, painting, moving materials and equipment, event preparations, space allocations, workspace occupant services and general grounds maintenance.


What would success look like?


  • Execute superior Building Services and preventative maintenance that lead to continuous and consistent campus operations, appearance and upkeep of the Coca-Cola Consolidated Headquarters campus
  • Contribute as member of greater Corporate Services Team on event preparations, setups, execution and breakdowns
  • Apply troubleshooting techniques in responding to repair requests and systems failures in a prompt, efficient and professional manner
  • Apply skills, experience, root cause analysis and general knowledge to a wide range of tasks to adjust, repair, disassemble, replace, and reassemble equipment
  • Stay current on performing preventive maintenance routines and inspections
  • Maintain well organized and clean maintenance areas, tools, equipment and storage
  • Oversee variety of vendors services performed on campus and hold them accountable to the same service standards that we hold ourselves to



  • Understanding of event setups (i.e. furniture, AV…) and restorations
  • Understanding of workspace preparations related to separations, new hires, individual moves, department moves, etc.
  • Familiar with utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to manage and track routine maintenance tasks and priorities
  • Efficient with use of Smartphone as primary method of communicating



  • 2-year technical degree desired or 3 years’ experience in maintenance, custodial or building operations; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • General skills and experience with electric, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, etc.
  • Mechanically inclined (i.e. metalworking, creative solutions, etc.)
  • Takes personal pride/ownership in maintaining the appearance and operation of our corporate campus
  • Stellar communication skills
  • Stellar troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrated evidence of commitment to serving others and contributing as a member of a greater team
  • Task-oriented…getting things done on time
  • Willingness to do what it takes (i.e. unclog a toilet)
  • Requires schedule flexibility…infrequent early or late days + infrequent weekend work + emergency response
  • Extremely reliable
  • Requires physical ability to perform duties unrestricted (i.e. sit, stand, bend and walk repetitively and for extended periods) and lift heavy objects up to 60#
  • Valid driver license required to operate company and/or personal vehicle to pick up supplies and parts and travel to other work locations and company functions as needed
  • Desire to have fun, but work hard…high energy, fast-paced
  • Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required
