Supply Chain Planner II


REFRESH your career and joining our exceptional Supply Chain team!  Coca-Cola Consolidated, the largest bottler of Coca-Cola products in the U.S., is looking for a Supply Chain Planner II.



What you need to know about being a Supply Chain Planner II:


The primary function of this position is to plan the full good product needs of the Company.  This includes Demand Planning, Production Scheduling, Deployment Planning and Full Good Purchasing.  The position is centralized so that the planners have a universal visibility to the full product needs of the Company.  Planners are responsible for keeping the items in an in stock position while maintaining low inventory levels (measured in days of supply) across the entire system.  use of, and maintenance of our Supply Chain Software management tools is a primary responsibility of this position.



What would success look like?


        • Forecast accurate sales to drive entire supply chain process - Gather and ensure all trade and marketing data is updated to reflect promotions, sales, store openings, market specific events.  Analyze weekly sales history relevant to future forecast.  Maintain appropriate "cluster" groupings to ensure accurate sales distribution.


        • Identify accuracy issues, analyze, determine root cause, and develop solutions to improve accuracy.  Expedite current week forecast adjustments into the system to ensure continued product replenishment.  Constant communication between the Planner and the key trade and marketing personnel is essential to helping the entire supply chain to be successful.


        • Generate the daily production schedule using JDA Software along with SAP.  This is accomplished by reviewing the planned orders, demand, and production actuals to determine if changes need to be made to the current production schedule, as well as plan for future constraints. 


        • Review all plan generated exceptions.  Unscheduled, reschedule and create production orders as needed.  Determine changes or adjustments to current calendars, rates and resources.  Control order sizes that are generated by JDA. Apply load leveling strategies when appropriate using CPP. Communicate with the plants to be sure that all components of a plan are covered, and problems are identified early enough to make necessary adjustments.


        • Using JDA software, verify the plan, insure system setups are correct, optimize loads and communicate activity completion to appropriate areas for execution.  This should be done with a focus on the Supply Chain objectives while achieving high levels of customer service while maintaining a low level of inventory.


        • Manage exceptions generated during the plan process. Make system corrections to insure exception issue is resolved before the next plan runs. Optimize the full and partial truckloads into the ideal replenishment to satisfy the branches need. Optimize the loads in SAP.

Review inventory levels at plants and branches, recommend system adjustments to achieve customer service and inventory level goals.  Communicate the timely information necessary for the field to be able to be effective in their execution of the daily business.


        • System maintenance to ensure the most accurate plan. To accomplish this, data integrity across all systems must be validated continuously, calendars updated and reviewed for accuracy to plan and master data maintained/defined from inception to obsolescence for the Company's full goods and raw materials.



        • 2-5 years of Business and Logistics/Planning Experience in a demanding environment


Preferred Qualifications


        • Knowledge of Planning Systems and understanding of CPG Go-To Market strategies

        • Strong written and oral communication skills

        • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
