Things you should know about working as a Sr. Manager Channel Commercialization:

 

The Sr. Manager Channel Commercialization is responsible for the total ownership of CCBCC's Marketing Commercialization plan program for each respective channel of business. In this role, the Sr. Manager Channel Commercialization will translate brand and package strategies into effective, scalable commercial initiatives that drive company goals and objectives. He or she will possess a detailed understanding of channel trends, competitive landscape and consumer shopping habits for their respective channel of business. The Sr. Manager Channel Commercialization will work closely with customer and field sales teams, and commercial execution teams to understand and develop the tools needed to achieve business results.

 

What would success look like?

 

  • Develop and lead the channel-specific marketing and commercialization strategy for each respective channel of business. Collaborate with cross-functional channel team to accomplish specific channel objectives. Team members include Category Advisory, Customer and Revenue Management, and Commercial Execution personnel. 
  • Rooted in consumer, shopper and channel insights, create a channel-specific commercialization strategy. Segment strategies into sections designed to accomplish key company objectives including share growth and revenue maximization. 
  • Develop and communicate sales and execution standards (The Look of Success) for each respective channel of business. Clearly detail the merchandising points of interruption necessary to achieve category business results. 
  • In collaboration with the Customer and Sales Operations teams, develop and communicate trimester and monthly commercialization plans that clearly support the channel strategy. Include both selling and operational detail that will enable successful implementation of marketing initiatives. Responsible for the project management and implementation of initiatives from concept development through delivery to field or customer teams. 
  • Lead the commercialization plan implementation process with key customer teams. Ensure commercialization plans align to fit the needs of key customers. Through collaboration with customer leads, understand the major customer objectives. Align CCBCC objectives with customer objectives to create mutually beneficial retail programming. 
  • Manage the integration of new product innovation for respective channels. Include merchandising recommendations (including any capital or expense needs), target selling list, understanding of VPO and GPPO assumptions, and consumer messaging plan. 
  • In collaboration with the Sales Analytics team, monitor performance and execution results for marketing programs. Utilize data to make recommendations for future programming efforts. 
  • Align with CCNA and other corporate partners to align commercial marketing strategies that ultimately deliver mutual objectives. Uncover parent company tools and resources that will aid in the development of programs that meet the needs of shoppers, customers and brand. 
  • Perform other duties as needed by the Director of Home Market Commercialization.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

  • 5+ years’ experience with beverages or consumer package goods company with experience managing shopper marketing strategies.
  • Proven experience effectively working directly with field sales and customer teams.
  • Must be detail oriented and show the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Computer skills required including Excel, Word and Power Point.
  • Knowledge of graphics programs is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required.
