The Driver Recruiter's primary function is to locate, develop, screen and qualify applicants who meet all DOT and company hiring standards/criteria for local and over-the-road driving and owner operator opportunities.



Driver Recruiter

  • Tracks leads generated by recruiting efforts
  • Completes background checks including: National & Statewide criminal history, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), previous employment, and Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP) reports
  • Coordinates and Schedules Department of Transportation (DOT) Pre-Employment Urine Drug Screening (UDS) & Physical examinations
  • Works with local managers and Third-Party Administrator (TPA) to maintain DOT files for all asset fleet drivers
  • Analyzes and maintains weekly/monthly/quarterly recruiting and retention goals
  • Cultivates and drives asset fleet growth
  • Represents the Company with Integrity and Professionalism


Owner Operator

  • Develops potential driver leads using cold calling, computer database, internet recruiting resources, truck stop recruiting, truck show recruiting, and any
  • Serves as the initial contact person for all inbound leads
  • Articulates the benefits of contracting with Red Classic to interested Owner Operators in a clear and concise manner
  • Engages prospective Owner Operator with questions to determine situation, career goals, and presents the solution that meets their needs
  • Maintains a pipeline of qualified Owner Operators to be contracted by Red Classic.
  • Follows up and maintains relationships with attracted Owner Operators
  • Reviews applications based on work history and determine if they are qualified
  • Manages execution and recordkeeping of Owner Operator Onboarding Paperwork & Title Applications
  • Coordinates & Schedules Owner Operator maintenance appointment and orientation with Red Classic Maintenance & Driver Managers


Company Driver

  • Serves as the initial contact person for all Company Driver applicants
  • Utilizes applicant tracking system to locate and review applications of prospective Company Drivers
  • Determines if Company Driver applicant is qualified based on job requirements
  • Coordinates and schedules interviews with hiring managers
  • Follows up and maintains relationship with Company Driver candidates
  • Coordinates orientation sessions for Company Drivers



  • Minimum 2 years of Recruiting experience
  • Must be driven to exceed goals on a weekly basis 
  • Ideal candidate will possess a can-do attitude with a will do work ethic
  • Passion for people and developing relationships
  • Transportation industry knowledge is a plus
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Top-notch organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows and related software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (Tenstreet, Taleo a plus
