The Red Classic Carrier Driver Services Supervisor will lead a team of Account Coordinators of up to 11 employees (Carrier & Driver Services) in working in tandem with the Manager, Carrier Driver Services. Responsible for the functions related to the payment and/or settlement process for directly employed, contracted drivers, carrier vendors, office personnel, and maintenance personnel.  Responsible for providing human resources payroll support for all RCTS colleagues. Works to achieve accurate, complete and timely support of weekly payroll process and fulfills other payroll requests/inquiries and special projects. Works closely with CCCI and HR Business Partners to maximize effectiveness and efficiency. Provides and monitors daily activity of the Driver and Carrier Services team members. Produces management reporting and communicates necessary corrective actions related to driver and carrier pay errors, payment issues, or other payment history activity.



  • Ensure compliance of all legal payroll requirements for state and federal reporting
  • Supervises Contract Driver (Owner Operator) settlement process
    • Manages the payment structure for Contract Drivers
    • Ensures accurate and timely weekly settlement processing
    • Act as the main point of contact for any payment inquiries
  • Develop, implement, and execute the weekly payroll structures for directly employed drivers
    • Manage the different payroll structures. and ensure all interfaces are functioning properly
  • Month End and General Accounting procedures
    • Responsible for the financial controls and execution of driver/contractor payroll activity
    • Responsible for the financial controls and execution of carrier pay activity
  • Administer the payroll for Red Classic employees including use of full access to payroll systems for pay changes and adjustments
    • RCT Corporate Employees
    • RCT Maintenance Employees
    • RCT Field Operations Employees
    • RCT Owner Operators
  • Supervise a Payroll Team consisting of Full Time Employees and Contractors (total 5)
    • Creates weekly metrics for timely execution and process
    • Accountability of process
    • Development and training of team members
  • Supervise a Carrier Team consisting of Full Time Employees  (total 6)
    • Creates weekly metrics for timely execution and process
    • Accountability of process
    • Development and training of team members
  • Accountable for weekly audit process of end-to-end payroll
  • Trains RCT personnel on Kronos Time Keeping System
  • Handles and resolves all payroll escalation issues
  • Reconcile master data for all employee information
  • Supports management in reporting and audit processes
  • Ability to meet goals and deadlines in a fast paced, performance driven
  • Supports the Manager, Carrier Driver Services in executing daily responsibilities
  • Responsible for strategies to best identify and mitigate payment matters and take corrective actions to minimize payment risk in the future
  • Other projects as assigned
  • Must be able to work overtime based on business needs



  • Candidate should have 5+ years of transportation industry experience, specifically in the management and administration of contract and directly employed driver settlements
  • 5+ years of experience managing teams across multiple functional levels
  • Experience in various software programs required, Microsoft, SAP, Oracle, or other equivalent ERP required; SAP experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross functionally within a team
  • Degree in Finance/Accounting/Business Administration is preferred
