Director, Customer Planning 
 
Refresh your career by joining our exceptional team! Coca-Cola Consolidated, Inc., the largest independent bottler in the US, is looking for a Director, Customer Planning!
 
Provide thought leadership to Revenue Growth Management, Customer Development, and Coca-Cola Bottling Organizations in shaping and maximizing the Revenue / Gross Profit Growth Management plan.  They will influence the Channel and Category plans that we, as a Coke System, execute in marketplace, specifically with Home Market Channels.  Provide overall direction of and creates alignment around the PRGM and Customer Planning strategy in order to position ourselves as a thought leader and top CPG provider of shopper and business solutions to retail customers.  This person will be responsible for the development / ownership of the annual business planning process as well as providing on-going analyses, scenario building, and thus recommendations that generate maximum volume / profitability results for CCCI, the Coke System, and the customer.  Additionally, they will lead a team of Customer Planning Managers, Sr. Analysts and Analysts and works to develop and grow the overall talent of the Customer Planning organization.
 
Things you should know about working as a Director, Customer Planning :
 
•    Lead the development of customer price package planning to drive shared business results with customer and Coke System in all categories
•    Work with senior sales leaders to understand Annual Budget goals and priorities, as well as customers' needs and requirements in the planning process
•    Responsible for developing Annual Budget and Monthly Reforecast
•    Provide thought leadership in Category and Consumer Insights
•    Provide strategic direction to the team based on strong knowledge of brand, price, package, and sales strategies / priorities
•    Work closely with Trade Promotion Group on trade spend management, forecasting and financial accruals
•    Work closely with senior leaders, both at CCCI and other Coke Bottlers / TCCC as well as senior leadership at customer to drive strategic alignment and secure system commitment on key initiatives
•    Lead the development of strategic category and consumer insights around assortment, distribution, merchandising, competition, customer trends and seasonality to optimize trade efficiency
•    Communicates competitive manufacturer/customer trade information to all functions and incorporates competitive intelligence into strategies and tactical plans
•    Lead the communication process and tools development for sales to deliver Customer Commercial Plans
 
What would success look like?
 
•    Responsible for developing and implementing planning strategies and tools
•    Develop productive working relationships with many cross-functional teams and/or Coke Bottlers / TCCC
•    Responsible for leading and managing change in shifting environments, where driving alignment and win/win solutions is critical for success 
•    Advanced knowledge of general business practices with a strong general management, financial and strategic acumen
•    Advanced business understanding of category management tools, resources and best in class capability
•    Management of highly strategic and analytical projects that result in the effective conversion of insights into actionable solutions
•    Consolidated understanding of pricing disciplines, demand curve analysis, price gap analytics, margin and mix management
•    Ability to synthesize and analyze multiple data points to create comprehensive Price Package strategies
•    Solid understanding of research and modeling, and ability to leverage outside tools and resources
•    Strong working knowledge of syndicated data and how to use this data to build category selling presentations, category reviews and ad hoc category management support
•    Strength in communicating verbally and delivering articulate presentations
•    Ability to work collaboratively across functions and stakeholders
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
    5+ years of professional experience with demonstrated progression in responsibilities preferably in CPG
•    5+ years Business Planning and Customer Planning experience required
•    5+ years managing a team
•    Strong Financial Planning and Budgeting experience required
•    Strong Strategic / Long Range Planning skills
•    Category Management experience required - exposure to and experience using Nielsen, IRI, dunnhumby, etc.
•    Customer Management or Sales experience preferred.
